Something New

Its still a wip. Just trying to paint skin tones.

A touch of retro posting

Some sketches from a notepad I keep on my desk at work. I'm slowly improving but I’m still not happy with most of the stuff I've been coming up with. Most of my drawings suffer from proportional problems. This is mainly because I’ll try doing a finished drawing off the bat, rather then loosely sketching the proportions first. Trying to change that though!

A speed paint I did at lunch some months back.

Kerchak update

A friend at work told me about mudbox, so I thought I'd give it a go. Just imported me wip from max and did some simple definition with the pinch and scratch brush. Mudbox is much easier to use than Z-brush and a lot simpler. Going to be trying to do alot more 3d work because of mudbox. P.s. ignore his back leg... something went wrong back in max.

3D - Kerchak WIP

Been working on a 3D version Kerchak from Tarzan to fill the void at lunchtime.

Some old quick face paintings

3rd attempt (went for a loose style, then began smudging the face on the right. Turned out all right, still a few shadows that could be tweaked around the neck and eyes.)2nd attempt (Tried painting but there is something uncanny about her face)1st attempt (gave up)Fisrt Attempt

FIRST POST - The first of many... I hope!

A quick speed painting that I was bugged to do because I was getting lazy. I didn’t plan on the design. Originally I was asked to do a lost and ruined civilization. After wrestling with that idea I just did a few squiggles in CS and ran with the result (Much like Mr. Squiggle).

At this point in time I’m trying to build on my colour schemes and brush work by using custom brushes. Overall there is about 2hrs work in this painting.

This painting is. I hope the first of many paintings and sketches to come in which I hope to improve my skills.
